Concrete Polishing at Manufacturing Facility

This was a small 400 sq. ft. concrete polishing project that was done in a heavy manufacturing facility. The area that we polished had an existing epoxy coating on it. The customer was tired of repainting the area only to have it peel and scuff up immediately after installation.
The customers biggest concerns:
- Dust. The coating removal had to be dust free in order to protect the customer’s product from contamination as well as the freshly painted walls in the room. This was easily achieved due to our 506 CFM industrial vacuuming system.

Patching. After removing the coating it was realized that there were numerous holes to fill. We used a gray 100% solids epoxy to patch with. This color blended nicely with the aggregate that began to show through after the initial coating removal process. The seemlessness and color of the patching is apparent in the final picture because you can’t even tell what is a patch and what is a piece of stone in the concrete.
